Sleek, waterproof, agile, does backflips out of the water…that’s pretty much what I think of when I think of a dolphin. And let me tell you, folks…that is the EXACT specifications of this sexy little 1978 RV you are looking at here.
Let’s not kid ourselves. You’re here because you want a smooth cruising aquatic machine that rips up steep highway hills and frost heaves with all the momentum of a cold milkshake running across a table. You seek a set of wheels that will have all the ladies chasing you as you barely outrun them on a downhill. You want a vehicle with a stock radio that barely picks up the oldies station. Yes! You want a traveling mobile that is so classic, it makes your grandma yearn to have her drivers license back!
I bought this incredible little machine last year for a job and lived in it for five months. It was truly a pleasure to call this 1978 Toyota Dolphin a home. It features a roaring hot four burner propane stove, finger numbing refrigerator (and freezer), working propane heater, and electric or battery powered lights. The sound the horn and turn signal makes will cause you to laugh every time! Did I mention it has four, yes, FOUR…that’s 4 gears in this super efficient and classic 20R motor? Did I mention that I just spent $1900 putting a new 2017 transmission, brakes, and rotors into this baby beast?
Well, good sir or madam…I hate to do it…I HATE to do it, but I have to let her go. Do you promise to love her? Do you promise to take her all across the state and have fun for years to come?
Well…if you do, give me a call and I will cry as you ride her off into the sunset. Take her to Cantwell for a music festival. Drive her to Seward to slay fish. Float her across the Turnagain Arm for a fun weekend in Hope. *not responsible if you decide to drive her across the Turnagain Arm.
Honestly, this is a total gem of an RV. Everything is really solid. The sink just needs a new plastic tube to connect to the water tank if you want stored water. I always just used a five gallon water storage system.
124,000 miles and going very strong!!!
First $6500 obo gets it.
